I help teens and young women find peace around food and their bodies with understanding and acceptance.
My clients struggle as you do. Despite being smart, hard working, and supportive of those they love, life is hard.
When they first come in they experience difficulties looking at their bodies and find themselves ashamed, overwhelmed, and frustrated. They worry about every food they eat and may become obsessed with exercise, calories, or what’s “healthy.” They expend countless energy trying to manage their food and bodies while also trying to hide these efforts from family, friends, and loved ones. Their struggles with food and their bodies get in the way of the lives they want in so many ways. They aren’t the people they want to be. They feel like they’re failing as daughters, sisters, students, and friends. And their confidence in themselves is diminishing.
Before they came to see me they feared this was something they could never change. They worried about other’s perceptions of them more than they should. And they were pretty certain their lives would always revolve around goals, numbers, and achievements. The feeling of never being enough was eating them alive.
Like my clients, you deserve peace and enjoyment around food and your body. If you’d like to feel comfortable with yourself again, I’d love to help you get there. I will work with you and your treatment providers to provide the most comprehensive care for you.
